The brand

Pyrenees
and Montseny.

The brand name joins our two souls: PYRenees, the Pyrenees that inspire us and give us birth, and MONtseny, the land where we work and build. Two ranges, one brand: PYRMON.

The origin
of the project.

The origins: ingenuity in a kitchen oven

In the 1980s, in a small Catalan village, a passion for mechanics took shape in the hands of Joan Crous. In his little home workshop — even using the kitchen oven to shape the steel — he built a one-of-a-kind velocipede: the JOACRO. Joan wasn't satisfied with the classic designs (high wheel, fixed pedals). With a thoroughly innovative spirit, he designed a system revolutionary for its time that let the sprocket freewheel when you stopped pedalling, and added drum brakes. Without knowing it, he was forging the DNA of our brand.

The legacy and the turning point

Decades later, his grandson Roger Tuneu Crous took up that legacy. Fascinated by his grandfather's inventions, in 2012 Roger started his own bicycle project with three friends, right at the peak of his sporting career: he had just won the Spanish MTBO league and qualified for the World Championships.

But on 30 June that year, everything stopped. A serious accident while training near home caused a severe traumatic brain injury (treated at the Guttmann Institute). The medical prognosis was crushing: he would never ride a bike again. The professional project was fading away.

When the impossible becomes the engine

Roger decided to erase the word "impossible" from his dictionary. When he regained his speech, he made a promise: he wouldn't just ride again — he would race the Titan Desert, one of the toughest races in the world. And he did. In May 2017, five years after the accident, he crossed the finish line in the desert, proving the human engine is unstoppable. It was time to take up his grandfather's mission.

From the heart of the Pyrenees to the foot of the Montseny: PYRMON is born

In 2018, seeking inspiration, Roger retreated to the Vall Ferrera. Surrounded by the demands and beauty of the Pyrenees, he conceived the idea of building wild mountain bikes, made for the most non-conformist riders. Back at his workshop, on the western slope of the Montseny, the idea took shape.

PYRMON had been born. A name that joins our two souls: PYRenees (where we draw inspiration and are born) and MONtseny (the land where we work and build).

A new era

The year 2026 marks a new chapter in our story. Aniol Font joining the project was the perfect gear to give PYRMON fresh momentum. Together, we keep evolving to offer high-quality bicycles, true to Joan Crous's innovative spirit and Roger's unbreakable resilience.

What we do,
and why.

To build bikes that carry the Catalan land engraved, in every geometry angle and every material decision. We don't want to be the biggest — we want to be the most authentic.

Every bike that leaves the workshop is a statement: origin does matter. The builder's pace must be aligned with the rider's.

Where
we want to go.

To be the benchmark in bicycles, recognised by riders who value origin over scale, details over marketing, and story over spec sheet.

We don't want to compete with the big brands on volume. We want to compete on what they can't offer: a bike made at home, with its own name and identity.

The pillars
of PYRMON.

01

Territory

Every model is named after a Catalan mountain. Every decision takes the land as its reference. We're from here, and that's part of the product.

02

Authenticity

We don't sell a story. We are the story. The workshop is real, the builders are real, and the bikes come from a specific village in Osona.

03

Precision

Studied geometries, materials chosen one by one, tight tolerances. Every millimetre matters and every component has a reason.
